Wisconsin, because I'm from there. Also, we're a great midwestern values type state. We don't have your typical backwoods people, everyone seems pretty smart. We've got some of the most georgeous countryside. We've got the best football team ever, the Green Bay Packers. We have more major breweries in WI than any other state. We have a great european contingent where you can get the greatest Polish sausage, Italian Sausage, or Bratwurst anytime you want. I could go on forever and I've lived in plenty of other states, including Florida, but Wisconsin is where my heart's at.

Mississippi
I love Mississippi because I live here! It is an underappreciated state. We are very friendly and are family oriented for the most part. Mississippi has gotten a bad name from movies and such, but it really is beautiful and a great place. We are not at all like many movies have depicted us. We are not all dumb and back woods. It's hot as heck in the summer, but beautiful the rest of the year.

Georgia, sugar. We have really sweet accents and the weather is so nice and warm. We have sweet smelling flowers-like honeysuckles and gardenias. We have beautiful beaches on the coast. We have great southern cooking.
We have mountains where you can pan for gold or rent a cabin with a cozy jacuzzi and enjoy nature.
We have southern plantations you can tour-like Gone With The WInd. We have lots of fresh gardens and peaches.
We have the Braves and the Falcons.
We have Varsity hot dogs-best in the world.
Southerners are polite and say "ma'am" and will wave to you as you drive down the street.
The people are friendly and happy and love to spend time outside in the sunshine-whether it's gardening, blowing bubbles with the kids, riding bikes, going on a nature walk, going swimming, or just catching some rays.
As a kid we would lie on my Grandmother's big soft blankets in the grass and watch the clouds float by-trying to find shapes in them as they drifted by. We would follow buterflies and watch them gently fly to the sky...

Florida!
Although it can be hot, but don't forget about the "green" things. In some parts in Florida, you can still see forests, golf courses, great and beautiful sceneries, etc.
It is also a popular destination. For family, you have Orlando. For teenagers or anyone who love beach and party, just head down to Miami.
For seniors, Fort Lauderdale will do.
Orlando, a city in Florida, is safe, too. Many are beautiful and less crime activities.
While it doesn't snow here, I enjoy the weather.
Once you're in Florida, you can reach Caribbean shortly, New York in just 2 hours, and Mexico in just ... say 4 or 5 hours?!
Oh, and don't forget Key West!

Tie between Florida, Texas, and Mississippi.
Florida - It's a pretty diverse state and there are so much things to do here.
Texas - Love the food, culture, and Mexican influence on some cities, it works well with the southern traditions.
Mississippi - I'm going there for the summer. The people are very friendly and nice.
I love them all! lol

Best State? A really hard decision- seriously!! Do you just want to visit or do you want to live there? To visit - Hawaii and San Francisco, CA, New York, NY, D.C. Atlanta, GA and Miami.FL all which are very costly to live. me i moved from Augusta, GA to the mountains of West Virginia (I got tired of the heat in the south). I love it here because it is cool, out of the rat race and I am old.

pennsylvania
it has four true seasons - you get all your weather right here
it can be self productive. although it's not that an area should be self sufficient within an entire country, PA can provide for itself, where many other states depend on other states for various things
beautiful temperate deciduous forest, especially in october and november when the bright oranges, reds, and yellows develop from the turning leaves

TEXAS! I love Texas. The people are so friendly, the laws arent too bad, and the cost of living is so much cheaper than other places. Houston is, without a doubt, the weirdest, most entertaining city in Texas, consisting as it does of subtropical forest, life in the fast lane, a layer of oil, cowboys and spacemen. But I love it here!
my favorite quote:
"Texas can make it without the United States, but the United States cannot make it without Texas!
-- Sam Houston, President of the Republic of Texas
