Personally, I don't think The Wild can get a lot for Manny.
Teams know that Minnesota have a goalie situation on their hands with Backstrom and Harding so Minnesota will probably end up shipping him off for less than market value rather than keeping a disgruntled goalie in the club house.
Best case scenario, I think Minnesota could get a young d-man...say someone like Brendan Bell and a 2nd round pick from Phoenix for him.

The Wild are additionally a 2 goalie device team. The secondary goalie gets so lots greater ice than in a popular and back up goalie subject. this is meant to construct opposition in the two and carry the point. Plus the greater desirable goalie gets greater ice time. Manny ought to do it, in spite of the undeniable fact that it does not make experience for the fee and how he desires to play. Its a stable thank you to get 2 goalies as much as velocity, yet no longer so good reason it will enhance stress between them. Manny desires to be earn the beginning place for despite team he's on. He does not choose to earn it pastime after pastime. the drawback is you get a guy who's been there for a at the same time as, and he does not get the starter place, properly it could create resentment. Now factor in that via letting him pass till now his settlement expires, they might get a draft p.c.. out of it. no longer precisely a bad deal for his or her long term goals.

almost any #2 blueliner, and i agree; they dont need another goalie.... could use a more "finesse" type winger like kariya but i would go with defense-- that wins cups.. good rough package to build on there... with the right trades; in 2 years it could be the wilds time??? only because i hope next year the preds can pull 2 miracles out...

A draft pick. 2nd round. The most he'll become is a 1-A starter like he was with the very defensive Minnesota Wild.
He's not a bonafide starter.

I think they have a solid defensive unit.
I think they could use another bigger scorer to take the focus off of Gaborik. Or a good defensive forward.
