When...
did you get married?
had your first official child?

How did you know you were ready for both stages? Bein a wife and mother? What things allowed you to know that?

I got married at 21 years of age and had my daughter by the time I was 24. I knew I was ready for marriage because I love my husband till no end and am willing to stick by him through the good and the bad. I don't think anyone is 100% fully prepared to be a mother. But if you feel that you are and want a baby and are in good enough circumstances to have one then go for it! Just keep in mind that once you have a baby, your life will be for that baby. They are a miracle and a joy but they become your life. It's a great experience to have and if you think you can do it then do it!

Married 1990 had 1st child same year. Was 20. Didn't really think it through--just did it. Turned out great--although some parts of the road I took were pretty rough. Have 5 children--none were planned and all are official. Wouldn't change a thing. Hope this helps. Best wishes to you.

I got married at 24, had my first baby at 30.

Don't rush into marriage, enjoy your single life first. Have your kids when you are a little older. Trust me, you will make a better parent with more life experience.

I always wanted to be married and have kids, and after being married 5 years, we were just ready to be parents.

I did it in reverse.
I had my daughter with the "wrong" guy. Then met the man of my dreams.
I always thought I would be single with no kids....EVER and was really happy with that but something just clicks inside and you know that it is time.
Neither is something to rush into, believe me, I found out the hard way!

OK I haven't done either yet....

But I know that I am ready for both. You really have to think deeply about it, weigh out your pros and cons and then go from there.

There are benefits to being with someone and giving and receiving that love in return.
