My mom said she used a condom, spermicide, and the pill...but nine months later she had my sister.... (I don't know if the condom broke or not though...)

Okay as an OB Nurse I will break this down in the best G rated manner I can!
Yes - one can get pregnant on the pill and using condoms and here's why:
95% of pills on the market require the user to take them at the same time each day so there is a continuous steady release of medication. Taking them at 11am one day and 8pm the next leaves a gap in that continous medication release. Also, contrary to popular belief, missing a pill and taking it as soon as you notice as directed by your MD does not mean you're "okay." It means: BACK UP PLAN!
Now throw a condom in the mix, which by the way is an EXECELLENT IDEA (Remember, birth control pills do not protect yor from the transmission for STD's! The most common is genital and warts and sorry guys but men can have them and not even notice because on males they are flat on this skin and often times not noticed!)
Okay back to the condom, what can happen here is the male puts it on in the heat of the moment AFTER there has been a bit of pre-ejaculation occur and gets sloppy and has this on his fingers when placing the condom. It's only takes ONE of those lil' swimmers to seal the deal! And Viola! 9 months later. . .
Yes, admittedly, this type of accidental pregnancy is not typical but either is getting pregnant at 65 years old and we see those stories all the time!

Not I. I have heard of some that have gotten pregnant on the pill but never pill - condom combo.

Hmm.. Im not sure!! All I know is I was on the pill and menstrating, had sex No condumn though (yes nasty I know). But ended up pregnant. Ive heard that you can get pregnant even if the condumn dont break... and know you can get pregnant on the pill.. so Im thinkin its possible!

My friend had one ovary, was on the pill, and they were using a condom (that didn't break)- AND GOT PREGNANT! It happens...

None that I have heard of. Except when the gurl is stupid enough to have missed any on the pill and the guy overturning and reusing the condom. Now isn't that not only irresponsible but way too "Yucky"? Ã

Was the condom used properly? Were the pills taken properly? It is possible to get pregnant if the methods weren't used properly.

Yes...me!!!we did not use a condom but he did pull out and i was on the pill...i was on it for about a year already and bam...our son is due in august!!i guess god said " youre having a baby and thats it"so yeah...but im happy...no regrets...

my friend was using birthcontrol pills but she got and ear infection and her doctor told her to use a condom because they may not work while using antibiotics so starting using the condom but it broke thats how she got pregant but if the condom didnt break its impossible.

I have not known any, and it sounds like a long shot to me. Pill and Condom combo is pretty solid.
