I have been released by my doctor to work only 4 hour days. My job just told me that once my FMLA runs out, if I don't get released full time, then the next day they will terminate me. I have only been back to work a week.

They can terminate you for any reason unless you are part of a union that has specific rules regarding this.... if that's the case, contact your union representative for these answers.

Now if you were injured on the job.... that could be a totally different story.

Yes they can - you were protected under FMLA, but once you have used that time up then your company has the right to terminate you if you cannot perform the job that they need you to do. Sorry that is just reality - your employer is not legally responsible to be put out by your problems.

Ask a criminal expert for particular yet, i think of that sure, you have been fired legally. FMLA has limitations with the aid of fact, the corporation has to maintain on. FMLA quite says the employer has to furnish a sensible possibility to recouperate. If it takes longer than "sensible," the corporation has the the main suitable option to interchange you and get on with being a going subject of the financial device.
