Depo-Provera...?

did anybody else have any horror stories with the birth-control shot? I remember I had panic attacks, thought I couldnt breathe, Numbness, and gained about 50 pounds in 6 months...and pretty much thought I was going to die, now even today I'm scared that something will happen to me and I will have to go through that pain again, worst of all, no one believes that this happened to me and the shot was to blame, my mother repeatedly told me that it was "all in my head" even though I ended up in the hospital TWICE over the sht, so does anyone else have any horror stories or information on how we could possibly sue..?

I agree it was the depo provera that did that to you. It ruined my life, I quit my job, lost friends, almost lost my boyfriend and was very sick for a long time, I almost never left the house. My doctor still doesn't agree with me and it is her I plan to sue since she never warned me. I am going to get tested for Fibromyalgia soon and many others who were on Depo for prolonged periods have it. If i have it I will start the process of sueing her but who else to sue I really don't know where to start. I want to consult some lawyers and I suggest you do the same maybe they will know more about how to start up a class action suit against the fda or pfizer. Good luck to you. Yes! There are class action lawsuits against Pfizer for what this poison does to women's bodies!

I will never EVER ever recommend this to anyone.

I had horrible side affects on the shot. I took it for four years.

At my last female exam, my doctor told me that I would need a bone density check after five years because it royally screws up your bone health!

I did more research and saw the horrible things that happened to me happen to many other women on the shot.

I had a bad time with it as well. I didnt gain weight, but my boobs completely disentigrated to nothing but nipples (came back after i stopped thank god). I was an emotional basket case the whole time i was on it, crying all the time and paranoid for no reason. I bled every single day for 4 months. DONT DO IT. Nuva ring is awesome, try it.

I was on the shots for the better part of 10 years. the only side effect I had was the absence of my period-which was fine by me. However, since the shots do effect your bodys hormones they will effect everyone differently. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience, they were really great for me.

god i jst got off the shot a few months ago, gained only 10 pds. not that bad, but i had the worst MOOD swings ever, i couldnt sleep, and i felt depressed all the time, i got off and my life is back to normal i can sleep lost the weight my sweet loving attituude is back and im not depressed..that dman shot almost cost my relationship i constantly bitched at my boyfriend luckily he understood, now im off adn our home life is1000% better and back to normal, i wouldnt suggest the shot to anyone!!! hmm i dnt kno if you could sue =)
