Being naive is NOT about not knowing...Naive people are aware of other possibilites too (the good as well as the bad)...It's a matter of choice. The see the good in people because basically they believe all people are kind/good from the inside!

Naivete` can be very painful from the inside. We all have some tough lessons to learn as a part of maturing. But the naive have a much harder time learning those lessons, and so must repeat them until they do learn them. You could say that we all retain some areas of naivete`, no matter how old we get because there are some things we will never change. That can be called naivete`.

Hi
Because a naive person could get taken advantage of or do something stupid because they are unsuspecting. Then they can end up a victim and depressed or bitter. Ignorance is NOT bliss. It's best to be very aware and to become informed about the world, people and surroundings.
Naive is cute up to a certain age though, as long as someone is looking out for and protecting that naive person.

It can be bad, on the other hand it may be a good thing... naivete can probably be avoided by foresight or knowledge of people or things, but people that are naive may be innocent and trusting people.... people that are not naive may be cunning, sneaky, smart, yes, but maybe not trustworthy...

It is a bad thing for your own sake. Being naive leaves you to be vulnerable to cruel people who will use and abuse you and your trust.
