I was labeled as book smart today. It ticks me off cause someone implied I'm a nerd. How can I improve my street smarts/people skills.

by putting those books down for a while and socializing with people more.

Street smarts are more like an animal instinct. I think the only way to learn them would be to live in a place where you would need them. People skills & common sense are seperate issues. Good luck.

talk to people and learn how to get what you want from them. street smarts implies your ability to deal with the world around you relying heavily on fluid intilligence. Enhance your street smarts/people skills by experience and reflection on those experiences.
