the condition is called rosacea, which is a perennially dilated capillary circulation near the surface of the skin. However, the ruddiness on their faces at such a young age is probably not rosacea- its just their skin genetics- they just have very thin skin, as your son likely does. Rosacea develops in later years, either thru excessive sun exposure or through excessive drinking/smoking.

Prince Harry Red Cheeks

The redness on the faces of Princes William and Harry and also your son, is caused by seriously good health. It is nothing to worry about. In fact it is a signed of a healthy person.

Another health check sign is seen in the palms of the hands. Open the hand normally and if the lines are red, this is indicative of rude health.

The same applies to folk with red or dark pink gums = health.

The redness is often seen in white couple's babies - and means a "bonny baby".

The other thing to bear in mind about such red skin tones, is to know something of a person's ancestry. In the case of Princes William and Harry, I have seen pictures of their ancestors at Althorp Park. Many of the ancestors of the Princes had red hair and the majority had pale skin.

The red hair possibly comes from British Celtic stock. A person does not have to have flaming red hair, just the gene which causes it. In the case of Prince Harry, his hair is red. So too are many of his ancestors on his mother's side.

In Britain for some reason, red hair is disliked. This may be because it is associated with the Celts. However, red hair in France, where a high percentage of the population recognise their Celtic roots, is seen as highly prized.

The red skin on the faces means rude health and possibly the red hair gene.

It's sun damage(sunburn) or perhaps rosacea, a chronic skin disorder marked by flushing of the face and acne-like pimples and pustules that effects mostly those who are light-complected and blue-eyed.

And deirdrefaith and merlin,Harry is Charles' son;Harry happens to take after the Spencer side of the family, where red-hair and freckles and light skin are prevalent.James Hewitt is not Harry's father;he is a man hard-up for cash who is not above trying to sell Diana's love-letters to the highest bidder.Nor is he above lying on paid interviews;his "interview" done under hypnosis is INVALID because the subconscious is not a valid keeper of memory. But,you'd have to take graduate and post-graduate studies in psychology to know that...and those people in the media think their viewers are gullible and willing to think the worst of anybody.

It could also be lupus. Lupus can cause severe rashes that scar or psoriasis and also eczema. If he is porphyric or however you spell it, vampire disease where you can't go out in sunlight, it would cause it. Lupus, thyroid, roscea, and porphyria are all sensitive to the sun and it causes rashes.

I think it is hereditary. Some people, especially people of English and Irish ancestry, have fair skin. In the summer time, they don't tan, they get red.

The best thing for such people is to stay out of the direct sunlight during the summer months. Use of a sunblock is mandatory. Such people, and I include myself although I am not of royal blood, have a higher risk of melanoma.
