Computer Science did not exist when I went to high school.
But it ended up being the field of my work & university.
You will learn about using the most useful tool there is.

Today's computers use a typewriter style keyboard,
for entering information (data), & a TV style screen,
for displaying information.

You will use those devices & others like them to solve problems.
What kind of problems? Anything you can imagine.
But more than using a computer, you'll study how they work.
You'll learn something about how to program;
create the 'magic' by which a computer knows what to do.

I think it's the most exciting field out there still.
Almost every job requires a computer today.
It has already totally changed the world I grew up in.

I'm also a high school student and have been considering going into computer sciences. This is a general term for all things dealing with computers. It deals mainly with computer programming and design. Once you learn the basics, you can specialize from there. For example, I am planning on specializing in video game programming. I highly recommend it if you love working with computers. Good luck! :)
