Was that navy vessel in international waters as well?

A mistake?? Hello, there were these huge things called 'American Flags' on the ship.

A mistake?? They shot down the radio antenna, so we couldn't call for help.

Personally, I think it was 'another false flag'. Kill all the Americans, sink the ship, and then say the 'Egyptians' did it.

Bring us into their conflict. Just a thought.

Joseph -

It's a simple fact. Israel murdered 32 American navy personnel - and Israel attempted to hide it. Now I'm an anti-semite?? I state facts - u character assasinate. The character assasinate thing is done by people who have no game and seem to be afraid of the simple truth. Shame on u Joseph.

A cover-up is a disgrace to all men and women in the military; American politicians, can you handle the truth? I have more respect for the truth than a cover-up. Accident, intentional attack, mistaken for Egyptian vessel, etc, will they ever get this one correct???

Yes, the U.S.S. Liberty, a Naval intelligence ship, was in international waters, 12.5 miles off the Sinai Peninsula. It occured during the 6-Day War in 1967. Basically, the entire Arab world had rose up to destroy Israel. The Israelis were fighting on all fronts.
Supposedly, this was a "mistake", and the the investigaing persons for both Israel and the U.S. concluded that. I was in Army Intelligence at the time and I believe it was not a mistake.
The Israelis did not deny it happened; they claimed it was a "mistake". If we had fired back, then they would have found that, indeed, they had made a mistake.

I do wonder why this question comes up again and again, day after day, different names, same question. Is this
some sort of incitement against Israel? What is the purpose other than to try and portray Israel as the worst nation on earth, as the only country who kills people? Come now, this is a transparent propaganda aimed at discrediting Israel on Yahoo. Killing goes on everywhere every day, atrocities are done by all nations around the world, so I guess I must call it by name ANTISEMITISM. shame on you.
