dear idlenessss, your name must be a misnomer. You have advised to
stop complaining and get back to work. That is what my request is. Discharge your duties and then demand your rights. Haven't you ever seen the poor running in search of physicians during duty hours in GHs,while they are busy in their private clinics? Red salutations on their behalf, dear Comrade.

Weekend holiday is meant for resting & preparing for next week. However these two weekends does not bring down the working hours of an employee because daily working hours have been increased and at the same time employer acheives economy by saving power, fuel etc. , therefore this was introduced first in Govt. Depts. and later adopted in public & private secters too.
So far the duty is concerned we Indians are only bothering about our rights, when we get free from this burden we may think about duty.
Concept of right has to be changed, rather removed from the dictionery of humanity, and duty to be put as right every where if we really are interested to protact humanity on earth.

You can never work to the satisfaction of your superiors. They
want slave labour. It should be the principle of organised
society that people should work less to earn their decent
living.Since there is huge unemployment it is difficult for you
to change jobs. The superiors want to pay as little as possible.
Due to inflation your real wages are not protected.A scale
of Rs400--950 in the 1950s should now be Rs 16000--
38000 but at present it is only half that amount.
People work to satisfy their own ego,not to satisfy the ego
of their superiors. We do not have modern management
anywhere. Indians are not machine minded. They lack
technical skill.Even with this limited technical skill they
are wanted everywhere in the world. It is the system which is spoiling the atmosphere of work. Please do not blame the
Indians

We never had two week end holidays in Tamilnadu Electricity Board, and even now, though we deserved it.
In any department there will be quite a few people who deserve it though they may not avail it.
