What is it exactly that you do not like about him? Have you made the effort to get to know him better? If you got to know him better then you may find that you like him more. If I knew the reasons why you didn't like him, I would be able to offer more advice.

At least you've been honest with your mom about her bf now. If something bad happens to her with that guy you don't have to blame yourself for that. Well, your mom is old enough to know what she's doing right now. As her child you never lack reminding her about her bf because you loved her. Be on her side even your mind and heart disagrees with what your mom is doing. Just hope and pray to enlighten the mind and heart of your mom. That she'll be given guidance in all she thinks and do. All you can do as a child is to understand her or maybe support her in what she's doing so both of you will avoid the conflicts specially with her bf.

Why don't you like him? Is there a compelling reason, or you just don't click with him? One thing is significant, the other is not. If you just don't click with him, realize that you don't have to because you're not dating him, your mother is, and she has a right to happiness just as you will some day. On the other hand, if he represents a real threat or danger to your family in some tangible way, you need to find a way to communicate that to her in no uncertain terms...solicit the help of other adults or trusted friends to assist you if necessary. Do have the maturity to recognize the difference though. Good luck.

This is a natural thing for children whose parent date someone that is not the real father. Just think about it mom has a life too. If you have good reasons why you do not like him and feel he is not good for her. Then you and mom talk it over and this will help you cope much better.

It depends WHY you dont like him
Would you stop seeing a guy if your mom didnt like him, without good reason?
I never really got on with my stepdad - but he is good for my mom so I have no right to interfere
If he is creepy, a user, an alki or you have a good reason - stick to your guns. If you just think he is a bit sad then leave your mom to it. If he is an ******** she will find out anyway.

I can relate so much. My mom is dating some jerk right now that I don't like either. In fact, when I found his boxers in our laundry I threw them outside! =]
It hurts that your own mom won't listen to you, but just try your best to get through it. Also, tell her you don't want to see him, hopefully she will respect that at least. If it is more serious problems that you don't like about him, try talking to a friend.

it's just that u're been over protective of your mommy, & that's normal, because what if it was vise or versal, what if your mom didn't like your boyfriend, & u didn't care if she liked him or not, because u 2 still were going 2 see each other. but just try 2 deal with it, & things will get better i hope.
