I used to go the angry, flip them off route (I am from Jersey, after all), but I've recently started giving them a big smile and a thumbs up. The looks of shock on their faces is hilarious.
And by the way, I'M never the one who does anything wrong- it's always them who does something idiotic. Well, that and everyone in Jersey is just really angry and likes to take it out on their fellow drivers.

Once, a moron was backing up into my car when I was behind him, and I honked for obvious reason---I didn't want him backing into my car. He actually gave me the bird. He's backing up into my car, and he has the gall to give me the finger. If I'm in the wrong, and I rarely am, I just drive on. But if I'm following the rules of the road and someone else who isn't honks at me, I honk.

Too funny! =) My son does that same thumbs up big smile thing. I usually just look to see if I am in danger or if I am being honked at by a friend or something. If not, I just ignore them.

I'd look at myself in the mirror to make sure there's nothing on my face and then give them a funny look. It'll make them think if I'm really sane or not!

yeah i am with you, i am always getting honked at for going the spped limit but i have two kids and tend to drive safely when they are with me, i have also had the high beam shone on me while on the interstate and when that happens at 2 o'clock in the morning it is pretty scary!

it depends on what kind of mood im already in for the day, if im having a bad day and sum ignorant driver starts honking, ill give them a WTF look or if they are behind me id slow down and speed up. but if im having a good day, ill either ignore them or wave and honk at them as if they were my bff!

my aunt lives in jersey and its freaking hilarious driving there!!!
no wonder why there are soo many cops on the highway in jersey
