I was curious to know how you react when you see a product in a movie or music video. Examples, Coca-cola on american idol- do you crave one, head to the fridge, put it on the grocery list, think its annoying, just whatver.. they like coke. or cell phones in music videos, do you research it so you can have it???
i was just curious to how you react.
i know it usually has no affect on me,
as for commericals.. some hit my soft spot such as the frosty float one on right as i type this or the 99cent floats at sonic (craved one all day today and got one..yumm)
i was just curious to how you react to most product placement.

I like your question so much! Nice!!
As for how I react... well I usually notice straight away that there is a producting they are promoting for in an indirect way.
It almost never affects me.. If it's something I already use (like Sony gadgest in movies), just makes me a 'little bit' smile or be content.
But I can simply say it has NO affect on me at all.
As for advertisments and commercials in general, sometimes (rarely) they do.. and most of the times (over 90%) I just don't give a damn.
Commercials that had me stop and think: Ford Edge (Middle East Version) - Johnson & Johnson's No for Panda Eyes... But did not affect my consuming behavior 'yet'.

This is the biggest joke in history. These ppl are nothing, but they want more money, so they are paid big bucks to promote something they wouldnt even use. They probably cant spell it. This makes me sick. Why would anyone with a right mind buy something because of a celeb selling it. They are actors after all duhhhh. This is the situation; u want to sell a product so how?Get someone famous and have them give a big speel about its greatness...what a freaken joke. I wouldnt buy it because of this issue...and never will. Who are they fooling. If they had any pride they would refuse it.

Usually I ignore it. (I don't watch commercials either.) If a show is good enough to watch it, the viewer should be caught up in the action, not what the actors are eating/drinking.
I do find it funny when they try to change the names of stuff when the original product packaging design is so obvious. Friends and Seinfeld did it a lot.

I usually notice. It doesn't make me want to buy the product. I actually wonder how much the company pays to get featured then I wonder how that translates in to the cost of the product if I do use it.
Sometimes I think it's just tacky.

Back in the day, they weren't allowed to show products in shows so people had wrapped boxes, bottles and cans, and it was real distracting to see. I'd rather watch someone down a Coke and have Quaker Oats on their shelves--it doesn't make me want either thing. I think we're used to those everyday things.

It reminds me of real life when I see a product that's real rather than made up in a movie or TV show.

I'm focused on what I'm watching. Don't even notice it.
