amazing how most people cannot even actually answer the question....the troops the UN uses are drawn from all over the world...there might be a few countries out there willing to contribute. Our seat may not be as "permanent" as we think if we become the 3rd rate economic power Bush et al are quietly allowing us to become in the name of globalization either.
Bush et al might want us to be above international law but we are not above it and will be called to account for it....Bush et al are war criminals who have not been charged....yet.

Start a militia and attack the UN and the new UN-puppet government, and, if I have time -take out the rival militias who are also vying for power.
Pretty much what the Iraqis are doing now.

I'm afraid that scenario is highly unlikely, seeing that the U.N. is a toothless organization, better suited to running scams and grafts, than actually be an effective fighting unit. Most troops would come from the more liberal countries, which are governed by pansies and wimps. With all the gun owners in America, they'd never make it out of Washington D.C., Massachusetts, New York, or other "gun free" zones.

What troops? The US government would never peacefully allow such a foreign intervention, and what nation is going to send it's military to invade the world's most powerful nation? The UN has no military of its own, and is completely dependent on member nations enforcing its resolutions. This would be a resolution no nation on earth would try to forcibly apply.

Dead Marxist is correct that would never happen, but lets just for conversation suppose. I think by far alot of people would essential blow the UN building to the ground thats in New York (first).
The UN is overstepping its boundaries and any sovereign individual would fight against another power trying to rule us.

The UN can't raise troops for peacekeeping in Africa. who would they get to enforce their stupid resolution? Also that would mean that every congressperson that voted for the resolution to go to war and the one passed in the 90s that made the removal of Saddam a matter of National policy would have to be indicted too. And since Clinton signed that one would he be indicted? Oh and Clinton did go to war in Serbia, in your view isn't that a war crime?

The UN would not be able to pass any such resolution.
As a Permanent Member of the UN Security Council, the USA would make sure any such garbage resolution never made it to a vote.
