what makes nails grow and grow hard?

ok ive been bitten my nails for a while untill recently i decided to stop and there growing slowly but very thin what do i do to make them grow and grow harder

i dont know wut its called but if u go to any store that sells nail polish like stuff...there will be this one thing (usually in a box) that is for growing ur nails faster/longer/stronger/ and harder

Some women swear by pre-natal vitamins.

Water dries out & weakens nails. Apply plain Vaseline or lip balm as a protective coat in the morning.

Nail oils (e.g. Solar Oil, OPI Avoplex), pure vitamin E oil or jojoba oil will help make nails stronger.

Avoid using nail clippers. Use nail files for thin nails to shorten and shape them.

Avoid using nail polishes w/ toluene & formaldehyde. These are very hard on your nails.

· Drinking milk is good, as it contains calcium

· Some people advise to take prenatal vitamins for hair and nail growth

· Proper diet with green leafy vegetables, nuts, dried fruits and fruits would also help nail growth

· Massage your nails with olive oil.

i used garlic (as in cloves of garlic) try pinching the garlic with your nails (poking) it will make your nails grow strong and hard ( not brittle) and if you worry about the smell that lingering in your nails use lemon juice to remove the smell of garlic. or maybe the smell of garlic will turn u off to bite your nails hehehehe!

I just got some nail hardener that lets them grow,it has green tea in it. you can get it at Walmart.
