Your water quality would undoubtedly be better if you changed it every day (if you think about it, a fish in flowing water gets it changed by the second!) but this isn't always practical.

Generally 25% once a week is considered enough unless you have very dirty fish, are overstocked, or your tank is still cycling to the point that ammonia or nitrite is building up faster than it's being converted by the bacteria.

Don't do water changes every day unless you absolutely have to (like if for some reason, your tank developed an ammonia spike or if the summer heat raised the water temp too high) or unless your tank is smaller than a gal. because you stress the fish and unbalance the tank environment. You can suck out filth that you might see. If you must do water changes twice weekly, only do 10-15% each time.

I completely agree with carlos

You don't need to do any waterchanges on your aquarium if you take good care of it, I have a 30 gallon aquarium and I think I did my last waterchange on it about 6 months ago

I only fill up my tank with fresh water about every 3-4 weeks to maintain the water level that's it

I also put "Easy Balance" as directed on the bottle in my tank about once every other week (it keeps the water changes down)

It would be also good if you may use fresh water instead of tapwater put not the purified one

If you just put up your tank use "Aqua Safe" as directed on the bottle

If you water is cloudy you can also use a "Water Clarifier" as directed and the water will clear up after about 24 hours
Maybe you should also put some real plants in your tank

If you give us more info, we might be able to help you out a bit more

Feel free to email me for more info
Good luck

It depends on the size of your aquarium, the type of fish and how long you've had the aquarium.

I have a 130 gal tank and I never change the water unless my fish have been sick, but I don't recall one of my fish has died for about 5 months. I have a waterfall filter and underground filter, and my aquarium is about 4 years old now.

Don't change the water just because, there must be a reason, for example if you see it is too dirty, or you know the ammonia is too high (should not happen if you keep about 3 gal of water for each tumb-sized fish, and don't add many fish at once).

Hope this helps.

Depends, tell us more about the aquarium. Some you don't want to change that often. Can stress the fish out. Why would you want to do daily water changes? A weekly or biweekly water change is usuall sufficient.

if is a new tank then get alge tablets, then do it 20% every week or so, but if you have have it for a while, then you only need to do it about once a month (if you have a filter). but make shure your tap water dosnt have to much iron, etc.. and get proper chemicals
