Within the next 7 billion years. About 7 billion years from now is when the sun will collapse upon itself. Before then the sun will become a Red Giant, and engulf the Earth.

according to watching history channel on cable a lot of different times, bible says not know the time, day, or hour, Mayan civilization says Dec. 21, 2012 Edgar Casey who is a dead physic along with a few others and Notradamus different dates. around 2020, others say that when Israel got its freedom in 1942 within a generation would see the end so before 2042. That depends what you mean by "end". Life will be extinguished on Earth in approximately 5 billion years when our Sun expands into a red giant, turning the Earth into a charred slag heap.
Hopefully we've managed to colonize some other star systems by then.

We will never know. Although, I think that man will destroy the world with a bomb or something before the sun expands and destroys us. The world could also be destroyed by natural cause, too, like a super volcano erupting and wiping out the world.
