"WHY did I do THAT?"

About a week or 2 ago I was at work and I got a call from my mom and she said that my little brother had a good day at school. So since I like to spoil him and it was payday I got really excited to surprise him and since his pet turtle needed a bigger tank I decided at that moment that I would go to the nearest pet store and buy him one. So I go to the pet store after work and I ask for the sales lady to help me buy him the best stuff so I bought a 15 gallon tank and a big rock for the turtle to sit on. And I got so excited and I paid for it not thinking at all and then the guy hands me the 15 gallon tank and the 10 pound rock. The tank was half my size and heavy and I only have 2 hands so I put the rock inside which made it heavier. Then I walked outside, realized it was 90 degrees outside, I am carrying a slippery GLASS tank with a huge rock in it AND I have no car and have to drag this onto the subway and the rest of the way home.
Why did I do that?

About 3 hours ago.... I spent $70 on a wagon for my kids.... I could probably get one from a garage sale for $20....

Funny enough, my almost daily dilemma is: Why "didn't" I do that? :-( + :-) = :-()-: [As you can see the outcome, that is :-()-:, also bears an element of inherent surprise]. So IS Life, I guess.
