Why do girls get angry when they are violated
Because it's wrong, it hurts, it's degrading, it's a crime, it's an assault, it's crossing boundaries, it's without their permission.
but they listen to reggaeton that apprizes on viloating women? It's music, they can't understand the lyrics, they think it means something else (denial), they're mimicking their peers, trying to fit in, scared but pretending not to be until they get out of there, trying to be tough, don't think words matter but definitely know deeds do....
I too am curious what your point is.

well let me say this: a singer can sing all they want about violating women till their face turns blue but if they come near me, their face will not be the only part of their body turning blue.
I used to be of the "the lyrics are derogatory but i love the song" camp but after the imus fiasco i am now singing a different tune. No it is not ok to sing about being derogatory to women and violating us and i will not be a part of that. because it is no longer just lyrics, it has an effect on society (males and females alike) and how we view females

Well personally I hate that crap so I wouldn't even know what it's about...
But I would think that no matter what kind of music you listen to, no one has the right to violate you. If I watch a movie about a rape, am I asking to be raped?
You disgust me by the way.

That is a very good question, and I for one am not about to let my gender keep allowing themselves be used in ways that songs imply.
I hate anything degrading to women, I also hate it when they turn into their male counter parts and act like they are special and can't get away with things.
Reality bites, but I can bite back.

Because they don't know what they are listening to.

Well, because reggaeton degrades women, of course!

I don't know anyone who listens to reggaeton or have complained about it, but if you could provide us with some lyrics, that would be great.

Never listen to that junk. and it is 2 different things here. do you watch movies where someone is getting killed or something like that. and then when it happens to YOU wouldn't YOU be angry? watching something on TV or listening to something Is NOT the same thing when it happens to you.

They either aren't paying attention to the lyrics, or they don't understand what the words mean.
Or maybe it's like passing an auto accident...it's not pleasant to look at, but you just can't turn away.

Because BEING violated is totally personal.
Listening to it affords one the opportunity to distance oneself from it.
