The very wording you use in your question would suggest that ONLY Republicans care about the law of the land and that Dem's don't. In that, you would be correct sir.

Actually it would be Conservative Republicans that care. Not McCain or Bush.

So to answer your question, if your interview is with a Conservative Republican, No you shouldn't bother because they do care about the law and following it.
