Yes, quite often. Most of the time I don't notice I'm doing it at first. I think it helps me follow my train of thought better. It can get a little disjointed.

Yes I do. For some strange reason people think that it means something like "only dumb people talk to themselves", but to that I say their the ones that are dumb.

I also draw when I'm working on a problem to visualize it. I move my arms when I talk. I use all of me in the thought process and I can tell you that the only reason I would feel strange about talking to my self is because I don't want to disturb people around me.

I'm no genius, but I can tell you that most people would say I'm smart, and talking to myself is part of that "smart". It is strange. It is sort like can I use only one display on my computer, certainly! But when I have many things to do more then one display helps, and when I'm forced to work with just one I feel restricted. I feel that there is no reason I should restrict my thought to non verbal.

I do. I mostly do it when I'm alone, it's probably because I feel I can express myself with out judgment or having to be careful about what I say and it breaks up the monotony of being alone. Sometimes stuff gets all bottled up and it's a safe way to let it out.

Sometimes yes, it helps me to break the boredom of being home alone but mostly I use it as tool to help prioritise what needs to be doe around the place and in which order. I find verbalising allows my brain to process information quicker and also to retain the thought better than if I just think it.

I don't really talk to myself...but I think out loud sometimes. Just, like, quietly, so it seems like I'm talking to myself, but really I'm just in deep thought.

I also have a tendency to think of something really funny and then start giggling for apparently no reason.

I sometimes think out loud, but I never answer myself. its usually stuff like:

(in traffic) Can you drive any slower?
(Looking for something) Where is it?
(I forgot something) sh!t

Everyone does it.

We all do, maybe not verbally, but each person does in their own mind, as we ponder thoughts, make decisions etc...
