I've noticed in the past day or so that when i try to open my ichat app. it just keeps bouncing...and doesn't open up. I've tried turning off the comp. and rebooting it and relaunching the finder...what else can i do?

Try launching it directly from the applications folder.....see if it launches any faster..... mine comes up almost immediately...also you can see if there are any updates to the software...go to the top left corner click on the apple, click on software updates to see if there are any current updates available...I remember a while back there was an update to Ichat...

somethin is wrong with your boot file prob, mine takes about 10 seconds to open, but it's fine after that.

This happened to me also. Try looking on http://www.apple.com/support and you might find an article about your problem.

what you could do,,, is,,,, go to..... mac..... support website and ask there, they are the best geek ppl to ask
