Hi,

With the equations

x + y = 8
x - y = 2

you can get the solution x = 5 and y = 3.

You can also writeit as a point or ordered pair as (5,3).

I hope that helps!! :-)

Write them interior the same type then use the two substitution or removal to get an equation in one variable, resolve it and then resolve for the different variable. 2x - 2y +0 2y - 3x = -2 2x - 2y = 0, from which all of us comprehend that x = y. replace this interior the 2nd equation to get 2x - 3x = -2 -x = -2 x = 2 and hence y = 2

If
a1X + b1Y = C1
a2X+b2Y = C2

Then
X = (C1*b2-C2*b1)/(a1*b2-a2*b1)
Y = (a1*C2-a2*C1)/(a1*b2-a2*b1)
