Sure. Try to drape it around you so that it doesn't touch the ground. If it does then it must be destroyed.
Seriously, there's something very wrong about someone making their political position so obvious so as to make you feel you must appeal to it to secure a job. It shouldn't matter one iota.
I run a multi million dollar company interviewing scores of applicants myself. I would never ever make my personal, religious, or socio-political views apparent. It s not relevant to their performing the job.
Unless you're going to work for the GOP I'd be very wary of working in an environment where personal political views are exposed or questioned.
