Perfumes are individualized just like the person who wears them. You should choose a perfume that suits you and your character and taste, because really, the perfume is a reflextion of you. Go to a department store that has several scents and and let the clerks help you by showing the different frangrances, and the proper way to smell them.
Some women like floral scents, some woodsy, fruity, it's a matter of prefrence.

Hi! It all depends on what kind of scent your going for. A perfume or a body mist. It matters because one is strong and lasts longer the other starts off strong, but you need to reapply throughout the day. Here are my fav top 5 not in any order...

Curve -Soul
Dolce & Gabbaba- Light Blue
Victoria's Secret(There are too many to name just one I like)
Chanel- Chance
Escada- Ibiza Hippie

Euphoria by Calvin Klein. I was wearing it the other day, and a guy came up to me, smelled me, and said, "Euphoria?" I was like, "How did you know that?" He said he bought it for a gift once (true story... crazy, right?!?) Anyway, it has a recognizable scent (obviously), but it's really subtle. You should definitely try it out... available at any department store.

Also, you can go to http://www.scentcrafters.com/home.html to create your own fragrance. I've never done it, but it seems pretty awesome... You get to pick your own bottle and stuff, too.
