If your car tends to steal other automotive chemicals you leave unattended near it, it probably will take refrigerant as well.

If it's not your car, it COULD be the neighbor's kids taking it.

If you are asking if your vehicle uses R134 in its A/C system, it probably does if it's a 94 or newer. Look under the hood. There should be a sticker.

If your car is a 96 or newer, it should have r134A. If your car is older, it may have been already converted over by a previous owner. Look under the hood and see if there are any stickers that will inform you of the right freon. good luck

whilst changing from R12 to 134, you may desire to apply a conversion kit, to alter the nipples on the lines, so which you will set up the 134 refrigerant.. and you should additionally replace the accumulator (rec/drier) and the orphus tube (if appropriate). thoroughly evacuate the equipment. Pull vacuum, then put in ester oil, and refrigerant.

There should be a sticker under the hood that says what kind and amount of refridgerant your car takes. If you say your year, make and model I could be of more help.

car manufactures switched to r134a in mid 1995 to 1996. if you look at the fittings for the a/c, you will notice that r12 threads on to the fitting and r134a uses a quick disconnect fitting.. i hope this info helps you in determining what you have in your car.. good luck!!!!!!!

it depends whether its a new car or not, always check under the hood or compressor it should tell you if its freon 134a or r-12. never guess when it comes to freon it is a deadly guess, have a professional look at it.

The connection for filling r12 is small & has fine threads , the connection for filling 134a is larger & has a quick connect
