I've been playing a game called RuneScape. It's totally laggy on my laptop compared to my desktop comp. I just bought 512 ram its weird cause when i play RuneScape its super laggy but then its not even laggy when i press start button n click random stuff like it runs smooth but the game seems all laggy n stuff? is there way to fix this?

Like when playing the game it seems like the comp is slow but just the game is running slow im going on Firefox, d/ling music etc and its not even laggy y is game looking all laggy ?

You can improve performance by using a better graphic cards. Unfortunately, most laptops use integrated graphics which use shared memory. They just can't play resource demanding games. You can add more RAM but what you really need is a high end graphics card.

The main issue is that the majority of laptops are built for business applications, such of MS Office etc. When you run a game that needs lots of graphics and memory power, laptops are not the ideal tool.
My suggestion is to use a desktop for games, and a laptop for other more mundane things.

Throw the laptop out the window and build a new quad-core based desktop after July 22nd (when the Q6600 processor is going to be a mere $266 on Newegg)

Yes the only thing you can do is try to add another GB of ram. You probably have an integrated Intel video card on your LT which restricts gaming level.

Yes, the answer is to get better graphics, that seems to be the culprit but it will be next to impossible to do on most laptops.

You need a better graphics card, it helps process video much faster.
