OK, my black cat is being "gotten" by my gray and silver Tabby, BUT, they're doing it on a plaid rug! What in the world color will the kittens be?

Black because the genes are more prominent with black cats and they tend to be more healthier because black absorbs heat and sun rays in general

I don't know but perhaps you should consider having our cats "fixed" -there are too many unwantd animals in the World as it is and millions are put to death in shelters every year.
