I'm looking for a nice catering facility for my daughter's 1st communion next year. Nothing too fancy..it's not a Bat Mitzvah.. Any suggestions? We'd like a DJ...we're having about 80 people. Looking for a quiet place...not too expensive! We live in Nassau County, near the Suffolk border...looking in the Syosset, Plainview, Bethpage area.

Try this
A VFW or American legion hall. Elks club. They will give you a great price and help you with the catering or make a referral. Also for the adults you can have some alcholic beverages.
I've been to several parties at these places and they are off the hook.
You kids will love it as you can have a good dance floor. And you can save a few $$$$$$$$$$$$
