If you can do better than B's and C's, it shouldn't matter what your parents say, YOU should be disappointed in yourself. I think you should take a summer school course in whatever subject you got those C's in so you have a head start for next fall. If you are having trouble concentrating in school there is a problem. Studying until midnight might be the reason...not enough sleep! You can't do your best in school if you don't get 8 hours of sleep each night and eat a good breakfast to get your brain power going! I think the best way to improve your grades next year is to sleep enough, eat right, get regular exercise and stay off the TV, the phone, the text messaging, the video games, the computer until AFTER you have finished your homework. Start in right after dinner and get it done. If you need help, ask Mom to get you a tutor. You don't have to be a failure, if you really want to succeed. You can turn this all around a be a winner next year. You have to WANT to do it, that's all. Good luck.

For some students 4 Bs and 2 Cs represent performance to the best of their abilities and should therefore be congratulated. For others, those same grades represent a grading period of completely goofing off. What type of student are you typically? Next question: Do your parents have an accurate vision of your academic potential? What I mean by that is, if you had to struggle to get those Cs and learned something in the process, then that's still a success story in the making. Sometimes parents think every grade should be an A, but in reality people learn different concepts at differing rates, and somethings are easier to grasp than others. If you KNOW you've done your best in every area, you may have to internally blow off some of what your parents say in favor of your own mental health. It does you no good to put unreasonable pressure on yourself by having unrealistic expectations. Developing that habit will cause you to melt down once you get to college when the stakes get higher. What you want is a balanced approach to life in general, up to and including your academic career. Do your best at all times because it's your future you're building, but keep your perspective always. Once you've done all you can do, let it go. That's all anyone can reasonably ask of you; all you can reasonably ask of yourself. Your parents likely said those things in anger; I'm sure they don't really view you as a failure, they just want to motivate you. But there may come a day ahead when you'll need to attenuate their voices inside your head in favor of your own to stay healthy. Even now you know when they're right and when they're wrong. That's a balancing act we all have to learn, too, and believe it or not, this lesson prepares us to handle other moral challenges later in life. Every lesson isn't necessarily learned in the classroom. Good luck to you.

Tell them you REALLY tried your best and if they don't understand and end up switching you schools and you do the same then they will realize they were wrong.

By the way, don't freak out..they are parents and want their kids to be #1 in grades and they are just upset right now but dont feel like a failure, you did good!

Just make sure that your parents know that you did your best. If you are having trouble concentrating in school you should talk to your councilor, or to the school psychologist. I'm sure that they would be able to help you. I'm sure that your parents will get over this, 4 Bs and 2 C+s is not all that bad. Are you in high school? Just continue to try your best. That's all you can do. Good luck!

Those grades aren't horrible. However, they could be much better. Unless you have a learning dissabillity, and if you're not sure you should get examined, you just have to try even harder. Even if you gave everything you got, you gotta give more. I don't see how changing schools would help, in fact it would probably only put more pressure on you. I have friends with worse grades than that, and they got private tutors. Suggest that to your parents.

If you are really trying your hardest then those grades are fine and you aren't going to be a failure. The only way you are going to fail is if you give up and don't apply yourself in school or in life in general. Keep your chin up and just keep trying your hardest. Have you thought about talking to a tutor or do you have a friend that is really good with school work? What ever you do though, DON'T GIVE UP!!!! You can do it!

If your having problems concentrating, ask your parents to get your eyes checked. Along with your hearing. If you can't see or hear correctly, then it is hard to concentrate on lessons. I don't think your grades are all that bad.
