There are multiple solutions to this problem because given the information you have provided I cannot accurately figure out your problem.
The simple solution (only if you are having trouble typing everywhere) would be to turn off your computer, unplug and replug, first your power cord, then keyboard and mouse. Then restart the computer.
If this does not fix the problem then your copy of Internet Explorer is probably corrupt. So you will need to uninstall and reinstall your Internet Explorer. You can use the following steps to do the same. (I assume you have Windows XP).
1. Go to Control Panel
2. Go to Add/Remove Programs
3. There will be three tabs to the left of this Window
4. Select the "Add/Remove Windows Components"
5. Uncheck Internet Explorer
6. Click next and your computer will remove Internet Explorer.
7. Follow the same procedure to reinstall, except for when you come to Step 5, check the Internet Explorer box.
8. Click Next and your Computer will reinstall the Internet Explorer.

Note:- If you do the above procedure you will loose all your saved favorites, links, temporary internet files, cookies etc.

You have the mouse button backwards. Go to control panel and mouse options and check the invert mouse button and you should be able to right click like normal.
