I have several operating systems on the same pc on startup. All are messed up and have problems. How do I remove everything on my computer including the os and files? I also have an ubuntu disk. I only want the Ubuntu os, how do I do that? *Note-Don't say anything about system restore.

Boot-up your rig and immediately tap either [del] or [F1] key to enter the BIOS. THEN, change the boot sequence so that your cd rom device is the first boot device. THEN insert your Windows disc, tell it to re-install. You will eventually come to a screen that allows you to do a complete reformat to wipe it clean. Once done, remove the disc, play frisby with it or use it for a coaster or portable mirror and ENJOY UBUNTU! (Don't forget to transfer off all the files you value, and make sure your apps. will run on a LINUX system!)

When you load Ubuntu, it'll walk you through the install. When it comes to partitioning your hard drive, use the advanced option. Once there, delete all partitions and reallocate the entire disc to the Ubuntu install. It's not as hard as you think.
