Actually you should do it like this..

Start Menu>Control Panel>Fonts> then click on file and select "Install New Fonts"

Then a dialog box should appear with the options for searching for fonts. Just select the file that the fonts you have are installed in and Windows will do the rest.

Use an account with Administrative privileges. Go Start Menu > Control Panel > Fonts Folder. Add all the fonts you downloaded to this folder.

go to start->run
now type fonts and press enter
you will get a window containing fonts
now go to file->Install new fonts

select all of your new fonts and press install/ok
now they should get installed.

I used the trial version of the Typograph and it works great, no headaches if you don't want to mess with the system administration
