It really isn't a Democrat vs. Republican issue. Most people in America oppose this legislation. Only those on Capitol Hill seem to support it. Unless of course you include the illegals themselves.

And I bet the ones in Washington that vote for this will not be in office long.

yes
its an ill thought plan.
many support some form of amnesty- just not the one the gov is proposing.
the bill focuses more on mexican immigrants. I've heard nothing about non-north and south american immigrants. I wonder if that means on they get the amnesty?

we should work on a bill to make legal immigration easier. it sucks that people have been waiting ten years to come here and we're trying to help people who are here illegally.

Not exactly, it's special interests vs the people - washington is the battleground. The special interests have the money, the political machines, the people just have thier outrage.

It sure seems that way. Those within I-495 seem to think they have a monopoly on knowledge & wisdom.
