they sell for less than 42 cents each - but you have to buy a roll of 100.

Costco receives 3.7 cents per stamp sold. For every pack of hundred they are making $3.07.

Lots of stores offer stamps to their customers at face value, some charge a dollar or more for the "convenience" of saving you the trip to the Post Office. I would be interested to know what they are charging. Remember, the cost of postage went up recently so a book of 20 stamps cost $8.20. If costco is selling them for $8.20 I'd buy them to save myself the trip to the Post Office.

I suppose, they like Walmart want to be a one stop shop for everything. Food, Clothes, and Postage Stamps.
