Well, now, that depends WHICH 350 CI GM engine you chose. 383 has been tops, basically, without overboring it. However, their IS one special application that will blow your mind - taking a 1980's diesel GM motor ( normally 350 CI ), and boring it out to either 427 or 454 inches FROM A SMALL BLOCK. I kid you NOT, if you search for this on the internet, you may find the website I found, a guy found out the old Cadillac diesel engines that sucked ( as diesels ) could be bored out to 427, or if they were specially Xrayed or scanned for wall thickness, even 454 CI in SMALL-BLOCK size. People had claimed the diesel was just a standard block, but it was not. The block was thicker for the high compression diesel operation, but they used the STOCK heads. THAT was the drawback and inherent weakness. So you can bore out these diesel blocks to enormous size, according to this website I ran across. I've never heard any more about them, or whether it has been done, due to the special crankshaft that would (probably?) be needed, but there is a possibility that the venerable 350 small-block could theoretically be bored to 454 from a GM Diesel block. It you're interested, go search on GM diesel and 427 bore. Might find it. I've looked (briefly) thru my multitudinous bookmarks, and haven't found it, but I know I did have it bookmarked at one time. Interesting concept, big-block cubes in small-block space. Whoa! LOL.

you can go 40 thousand,s over the stock bore size on it without creating any over heating problems ,after that the cylinder walls get really thin, and they will heat up,good luck with it.

you can go 40 over but I'd reccomend not more than 30 over...the reason for this is at 40 over is you get into very thin cylinder walls and heat becomes an issue...30 over is safe and you get plenty of ponies out of it.

Shorten the stroke inlarge the bore what the heck are you asking? 2" STROKE AND 4.5 INCH BORE times eight ten cyls or twelve cyls? 350 cubic inches can come as many ways as there are ideas.
