You can also right click start/left click on explore/find the path to WINDOWS, usually this is found under local disk (mine is c:) then click on documents and settings and click on WINDOWS. Not the WINDOWS under your name.

You will find photos there that are on your background list too, just right click and delete

Went looking to see how you do delete them.Only way i found was to delete them in you picture folder in my computer in control panel.Or you can move them out of that folder.Anything in my picture folder is in the background menu.So you can go from there.Don't put anything in that folder if you don't want it on the menu.And i had some pretty good ones on mine i had to delete.Good luck.Thanks for the question,it helped me too.

go to there file source and delete them, somewhere under my computer
