So I want new ones since the old ones are in really bad condition, but the computer tells me I can't because others were already made (an obvious anti-piracy thing). So what do I do?

If it's not under warrenty. You'll have to contact the pc maker's 1-800 number and buy a set of discs from them. probably around $40 U.S. You'll need a credit card. hope this helps

well if you ever get to the stage where your recovery cd won't work then it will be a case of buying a new xp copy... or download any one of the linux operating systems, which are free to download, or you could apply to have them posted to you, You get all the software you will ever need, and the big plus is you can do more with Linux than you'll ever be able to with MS Windows be it XP or Vista

There is something like 22,600 free software programs for Linux, that do anything and everything you can think of, so do some research into Linux there are many version to pick from

Call the manufacturer of your computer and ask for new ones. Many will sell you new ones less key for about $20.
