pay & go's are the ones that are usually locked. as you're not tied in to a contract it lets them play the numbers game phone price/calling plan.
my son and i bought a couple of nokia6230i's off a guy i work with that was upgrading his & his wife's. i tried online calcs, waste of time. there is no single number you can get, after all if there were it would soon become common knowledge.
i got them unlocked at a local shop for a tenner each (wish i could make that an hour)
worth it though. if you bought the phone and its registered to you why not ask your provider? when i bought my phone from virgin they told me they would unlock it free after a certain amount of time or air time bought i dont recall what it was as im still with them anyway.
i called 2 that advertised unlocking (from £5 ) 1 quoted £10 the other £15 nuff said.
check out mobilefun.co.uk and ebuyer.co.uk for addons etc

Its a BB5 phone so it can only be unlocked by the network provider who locked the phone. Not sure about the claims that some BB5 phones can be unlocked in local shops. You can try to find out about that.
