Where should I stay if i'm going to UC San Diego?

I just need a 1room apt for myself, not more than $2000/mnth. Any of you guys have recommendation of places or attended ucsd and know of a good place to stay? Thanks!

la jolla and university city are going to be the closest to college for you and you can definitely afford the rent but if you want to be thrifty, clairemont would be your best bet.
