What exactly do you mean by 'floating'? If a water turtle just floats, it has too much air in its carapace (upper shell) if it can still dive then no problem. Is your turtle eating? If you have a 'floater' he/she is sick, I highly recommend buying small minnows and guppies and pinching them to death (I know, sounds cruel, but natural food is healthier) and give turtle pellets and fish food if you can. If the turtle doesn't move much, put the food in front of his/her face a little at a time. I have kept many water turtles and this is the only way I brought back the health of 'floaters'. Tortoises (land turtles) do float and it is natural to have air in the carapace as they have no need to dive for food and they need buoyancy, as they can't swim as well as water turtles.

I even have 3 turtles, I merely gave them the little turtle nutrition until they have been given greater effective. then you definately can bypass on your interior sight puppy keep and purchase little 22 cent feeder fish. Its relatively enjoyable to computer screen them song those little adult adult males down. As for cleansing, i might certainly make advantageous to no longer positioned the little rock pellets on the backside of the tank. that's that considered one of those drag cleansing those each and each time. yet as quickly as you notice the water point is getting slightly low is whilst i might clean it out.

I have 2 baby floater turtles. You can give it lettuce, carrots, or apples. Since it is a baby, it might not eat it, but try to cut it up really small.
Good luck!!

if you have turtle food for bigger turtles, you can break it up- also, soak it in warm water before you put it in the cage
