Same sex marriage and AIDS are 2 different issues. There are people of same sex very much in love with each other and are wanting to be acknowledge before their community as a couple and eventually as a family. They want the same benefits and advantages as the hetero married couple. I see nothing wrong with that. I know a couple (2 men) who have been together for 30 years. The sweetest men. They have a beautiful house and participate actively in their community, everyone respect them. Homosexual people are not all transvestites or weirdos coming out of 'will and grace'.

The state govt. are consider same sex marriage for the same reason they consider anything else, votes. Elected officals depend upon us to keep their job, so they'll do anything it takes to keep it. Like in Mass. for example, the only state in the Union currently were same sex marriage is legal, there was suppose to be a vote by the public (since there wasn't to begin with) to decide to keep it or not, and the state blocked the publics ability to vote on the issue. Why? Because every other state voted it down. With the execption of Nevada, but even there it's not "gay marriage" it's civil unions a.k.a. common law marriage which applies to gay and strait couples, which is also why alot of states have banned common law marriage as well.

same sex marriage should be legalized. marriage itself is a stupid institution. its like an exclusive club. Why are gays eliminated? Not letting people marry, is bad for the instutition of marriage. I don't care if gay people get married, i don't care if oppositie sex couples marry, its just a contract binding you. Sure i'd love to get married and have a great wife, but just the idea of marriage, looked at from a logical point is stupid. I'm a diest so i don't care about the religious factors.

separation of church and state. satan has always desired what GOD placed here. The fall of man: tempted bySatan. Sin entered in by 1-man-Romans 5:12. The results were immediate-Genesis 3:7-8. All mankind born in sin-Romans 5:12. GOD created Adam & Eve, then joined them through Holy matrimony. God did not marry Adam to Adam or, Eve to Eve. what does that movie and rock hudson's final images have to do with legalizing gay marriage? are you trying to equate the spread of aids to gay marriage? wouldn't it make sense to think that if gays were married, they wouldn't be dating others, therefor the # of people infected would drop?

its a bit more understandable if you don't refer it as an marriage...its a union...and generally it recognizes their significant other for legal identification recognition....whether its legalized or not the sexual part will continue.
