How do I download stuff from modthesims.com?

When I download stuff from modthesims.com it doesnt let me download it into my game. when I ask about it on the site it just tells me to install it into a custom content ; I dont know what the @#!$% a custom content is! so somone please help me. : (

Make sure first you have a download folder in your Sims file
My document-sims2 *create downloads if not already there*

Then go to the website and get the Q-xpress installed and the CEP (for different colored objects). Then click on an item you want and hit the red Q and it'll appear in the box, hit install on it and it'll automatically be installed into your game.
