ok this may sound stupid but what is the animal if you hold its tail the tail will will break off?

my pet also looks like a snake and a lizard mixed together so what is my pet?

All lizard species do this. It is a getaway defense mechanism. The tail breaks off and wiggles around on the ground (nerves) when a predator attacks it. The predators is attracted to the spasmodic action of the tail and the lizard runs off. The tail will grow back. There are species of lizards called legless lizards, also known as 'glass snakes' because the appear to break when picked up or attacked, but actually it's the same survival technique as all lizards. A 'real' snake's tail will not just break off if you pick it up or it is attacked, it must be cut, and it will not grow back.
Response to details: If your reptile has tiny legs it is a species of skink. If no legs, then it's a legless lizard. Go to search and type in 'skink pics' or 'legless lizard pics'.
Despite what other answerers may say (contradicting my answer). ALL lizards do this. Even a Komodo dragon will do this if the tail is pulled hard enough, but not likely as there are no natural predators. However I have seen a tail of a smaller Komodo get broken off in a feeding frenzy (Animal planet).

I had a gecko once that's tail fell off, I don't think it's the only one though, but a gecko is one.

All species lizarsds do this, I saw it on the discovery channel.ZI think its so the can run away. Sorry my English not godd.

Iguanas, leopard geckos are two that come to mind that can drop their tails.

iguanas no, some geckos yes. also some skinks. Not ALL lizards do this, only some

there is alot of reptiles that this can happen to them,but i know you can squeeze an anoles tale off but it won't grow back as long.
