H.W. should have continued into Iraq and stopped Saddam right then and there. Instead, we spent the next decade trying to contain him, which just made a lot of Iraqis suffer.

Directly related to this is H.W.'s encouraging the Iraqis to rise up against Saddam. I think H.W. figured there would be some mass uprising against Saddam, and then the U.S. could enter Iraq to help the freedom fighters. Instead, Bush Sr. abandoned these opponents of Saddam. They started to rebel against Saddam, and then got no support, so they were crushed. I don't even want to contemplate what horrible fate awaited the rebels Saddam captured.

In both cases we can see one common thread: our country didn't do what was obviously the right, the decent thing to do. I think history has shown us that when we choose to turn a blind eye to what is right, we end up paying for it later.

If I were a hippie, I"d call it bad karma.

How about his involvement in the assassination of JFK?

I'm still reading about it so I'm not sure yet.

Here's a video (1 hr, 30mins) that claims to be:

"A thorough, documented, criminal indictment of George Herbert Walker Bush, establishing beyond a reasonable doubt his guilt as a supervisor in the conspiracy to assassinate John F. Kennedy."

He doesnt tell it like it is he allows speech writers and his "people" to tell him what to say.

And now that you can throw stones as well as everybody else ....
can you list what GOOD he did?

Or are you to sanctimonious to even realize EVERY President we've EVER (whatever their party) had has done good and bad (as the armchair QB's would see it).
