Internet has given me my voice into most amazing public forums of the world. I can read, I can write and get my writings published in a matter of seconds. This is something that people of the old age did not have in their lives. I can converse and communicate with people all over the world as if we were living in the same city. And doing this makes me feel fresh, intelligent, relevant and interested. I am hooked on to Internet and Yahoo Answers in particular for a year and a half now, and I see no sigh of me stopping in the near future.

I have discovered through the Internet that there is a space alongside physical pace that I call that Mind Space, which can be as wide, and as wonderful as one likes it to be. What is even more important here is that within the Mind Space of my own there are a pathways leading up to what I would like to call Universal Mind Space? People come here who have higher level of consciousness, called collective consciousness. This is brave new world for me, and for many other people like me, to come, to live and stay and to develop endlessly. Great!!

On a more realistic level, however, I have opportunities of knowing about other people and meeting with them, of knowing about places that I might like to visit later on sometimes, and of knowing better about the world I live in, about its heritage of knowledge, customs and cultures, and also about most general facts about things of the world. I think I am for these reasons a much better person now than I was about fifteen months ago. Thanks!

12-Step Internet Recovery Program 1 I will have a cup of coffee in the morning and read my newspaper like I used to, before the Internet. 2 I will eat breakfast with a knife and fork and not with one hand typing. 3 I will get dressed before noon. 4 I will make an attempt to clean the house, wash clothes, and plan dinner before even thinking of the Internet. 5 I will sit down and write a letter to those unfortunate few friends and family that are Internet-deprived. 6 I will call someone on the phone who I cannot contact via the Internet. 7 I will read a book...if I still remember how. 8 I will listen to those around me and their needs and stop telling them to turn the TV down so I can hear the music on the Internet. 9 I will not be tempted during TV commercials to check for email. 10 I will try and get out of the house at least once a week, if it is necessary or not. 11 I will remember that my bank is not forgiving if I forget to balance my checkbook because I was too busy on the Internet. 12 Last, but not least, I will remember that I must go to bed sometime ... and the Internet will always be there tomorrow!

My initial instinct says that the internet gives me more time. Contrarily, I seem to waste that extra time on the internet.

In further contemplation, the internet opened up mass lines of communication in my life. Not simply communication on or through internet use, but because of internet use.

Endless and readily available information provides valuable resources for work, school and personal enjoyment.

The ability to view the world from my monitor allows me a free trip to places I want to go on a whim: art galleries, archaeological digs, exotic places (including distant planets), concerts, my own back yard or the local shopping center. In this aspect, I have traveled more than ever anticipated.

Aaah... the joys of email. While I still find time to put pen to paper, and peel a once lickable stamp, email is by far the greatest advantage (to me) of the internet. As the years pass, I find myself placed physically further from loved ones. Many in "my circle," me included, have moved for work, to get back to their roots, to be closer to "older" family members or to chase the sunshine in call of retirement. Email allows me daily communication in a world of busy schedules where a phone call may go unanswered.

The second best thing the internet has given me, aside from excellent typing skills, is an unmatched, quick-draw index finger that can work that mouse and click that button like no other.

The Internet means that I can find out information at the touch of the button. It also provides the use of an effective and free method of communication via email. The Internet is regularly updated which means that the latest news can be found there at no cost.

Speaking as an atheist I think the Internet is the nearest thing to a machine with a soul. It represents all what is good and bad with humanity.
Like mobile phones microwave ovens and digital TV I could not imagine a world without it

I can chat to my housemates without leaving my room or shouting very loudly!

Seriously...

Well I havent really known what its like without the internet. I mean it all kicked off about when I started to, and needed to use a computer. But it has made everything convinient, and has closed the time-space boundaries that separate the peoples of the world, which I think is great!

Have you read the book " Things that you wanted to know but never asked: ? We have a million things to ask , to know to view and many of us donot know whom to ask and how.

Today , thanks to the Net I can scan a wide range of explanations and decide for myself. The Net has given us that discerning power. That broadening of vision..

I am a lover of written communication. I have found in my long experience the limitation in verbal communication. It lacks clarity and it is always interfered. Written communication allows for transparency in expression and a clarity . Internet gives us that . Today I am communicating with you on a known subject like the Internet. A thousand other exchanges take place all the time.

Internet is like the razor`s edge for me. It is upto me to use it for my good or bad.
