here, if you think they are pretty ? It sounds soooo "needy" to me.

Some people just need reassurance is all. Maybe they haven't been told they're pretty in a long time and they just need to hear it from someone. Which I guess would define sad.

At first thought, yes, but people give very mixed signals to attractive people. They can be mean and jealous etc. so they may get confused by how people treat them and just be asking for input.
Also there is an old saying that the pretty girl sits home alone (because everyone thinks she must have a boyfriend or they are to nervous to ask her out) I know for a fact this is true, known some very beautiful woman who sat home alone.

Well, really, it depends on who the person is and the picture.
Some pictures are of people who are obviously flaunting themselves.
However, I have seen others where I can tell by the picture and the way that the person is asking the question that he/she really wants to know.
Besides, I'll admit that I kind of think it is fun to see what the picture is behind the question.

No, I don't mind when people ask on here if they are pretty. I guess the only thing that bothers me is when they say "Tell me honestly, I won't get offended" But then they get real answers and they get all mad..and offended.

Yeah, I don't put real photos of my family or myself online. It's not safe. Now we all know they are insecure AND now we know exactly what they look like. Before long they'll answer questions about where they live and what they drive, then any freak can find them. Scary.

I dont see any harm in it. They obviously need something to make them feel good about themselves. That's the sad thing. And if it cheers someone up who the f*ck cares! Everyone wonders what they look like to others.

It's mostly pre-teen or teenage girls trying to go through those awkward years.I try not to judge them,having gone through that myself.
