Kobe missed 23 games since Shaq left. Lakers recorded 15-8. The 2007 season alone was 7-4.
Odom missed 46 games since joining the Lakers. Without Odom, Lakers recorded 19-27.
The record clearly shows that Odom is making more impact than Kobe is. Without Kobe, Lakers can still win. Without Odom, the Lakers are totally lost. The fans may call it Kobe's team, but the players probably know it's Odom's team. They work well together without Kobe, and it no wonder why.
Don't trade Odom, trade Kobe. The record says it all. Odom is better for the team. Hopefully, he stays healthy for the next 3 years.
P.S. Odom is the only player in NBA to average better than 14 points, nine rebounds and five assists.

How is Kobe anywhere near being the best when he can't even make anymore impact than Lamar Odom does for the Lakers. Kobe is way overrated when you compare him to Lebron James, Steve Nash, D-Wade. And you should never compare Kobe to Jordan when he can't even compare to Odom. Kobe is way too overrated. And I don't hate Kobe. He's a top 20 player, that's about it.

I'm a Kobe hater? I'm a Kobe denier. And I've also done my share of defending Kobe, so I definitely don't hate Kobe. It's your irrational fan support and ignorant knowledge of Kobe that's causing all this Kobe hatred. Kobe is just no where near as good as you claim him to be. And the stats have prove it. Don't blame me, numbers don't lie, my friend. Kobe is overrated and you blame all of Kobe's problems on others. Look at the numbers. Look at who is the primary cause of things. Kobe is the reason the Lakers are losing. Hell watch the 2003 and 2004 playoffs. See Kobe playing keep away rather than playing basketball? Kobe's "desire to win" ... yeah, Kobe wanted the MVP so badly he didn't want anyone to touch the ball. Heart of a champion... Stop that BS! Kobe is overrated.

Many people are saying Kobe doesn't have enough help but they are forgetting how valuable Lamar Odom is. I'll make this bold claim, fast and direct. If Jordan had Odom and not Scottie Pippen on his previous championship team, the Bulls would still become a dynasty. That's how good and underappreciate Mr. Odom really is ,so I feel ya on this.

You're joking, right ? People compare Kobe and LeBron, Kobe and Wade, and among the all-time greats, Kobe and Jordan. And you're comparing Kobe to Odom ? Please. Odom is certainly a solid all-round player, but he's nothing compared to Kobe. He has never made the All-NBA teams. Kobe is a perennial on the All-NBA 1st Team and Defensive- 1st Team . Kobe is always top 3 in MVP voting. Odom does'nt even make the top 20. And you want stats ?
Kobe : ///////////// Odom:
31.6 ppg / / 15.9 ppg
5.4 apg / / 4.8 apg
5.7 rpg / / 9.7 rpg
1.5 spg / / 1.0 spg
0.6 bpg / / 0.6 bpg
Also, if Kobe is traded, the Lakers won't even make the playoffs. Kobe and Lamar pack a solid 1-2 punch, and next season if both are still on the Lakers and both remain healthy throughout the season, the Lakers definitely have a title shot.
But questions like whether Lamar is better than Kobe just make me laugh. If it was LeBron vs Kobe it would be a heated discussion, but in this case its not even a debate.
Kobe is the best player IN THE LEAGUE, hands down.

"Who's better" really depends on what you mean by "better." Like someone said, Kobe is more skilled and Odom might have a stronger impact on his team as a whole.
However, this argument is somewhat illogical. There could be way too many confounding variables with the facts. Plus, the games Kobe wasn't there aren't near as many as the games Odom has missed. The players were different during these different periods of time these players were missing if that makes sense. Like I said, there are too many outside variables that could change the results.

81 point game is a perfect example of the lakers needing kobe, they were down by 17 and lamar was in control until kobe returned, and they won by 18 because of kobe.

Like i stated , if Kobe performs higher than James towards the Celtics i will be able to admit Kobe is the first-class . Kobe was once best in sport one million with 30 elements however LeBron was once additionally best in sport one million with 35 elements.
